Tampar – the right product in the right place

To get maximum performance out of the ropes, it's also about having the right line in the right place. Depending on the field of use, we have had slightly different criteria for the different tampas. When it comes to cases to fock and large, we have asked for low weight, low strain and high crime load. The choice fell here on Admiral Pro with sts core. STS, "Stronger than steel", is a specially treated and extended dyneema SK78 that meets our criteria regarding weight, elongation and crime load. This tamp has enabled us to reduce the dimension of the cases, leading to reduced air resistance without compromising safety in terms of crime load. This core along with a housing that holds for a pressure in the loader makes the line perfect for case.

As far as our fockskot is concerned, we have placed greater demands on the wear resistance as these struggles are on winch and thus subjected to higher mechanical wear and abrasion. Here the choice fell on Admiral 10000 which, thanks to its Technora/polyester casing, has a very high durability and good control of the winch. To attach these scooters to the fock, we use soft shackles which is lighter but also much more gentle on boat and rig instead of metal hooks.

For spinnakerskot and vulture, the choice also fell there on Admiral 10000 when these struggles are also on winch and have a high wear. To get as easy a tamp as possible that does not weigh down the spinnaker, we chose to go down a dimension for the spinnakershoetet and in the same way as with the fock use soft shackles.

Since we have a lot of tuning tones, it has also been very important for us to be able to distinguish them with color to facilitate stressful situations. Thanks to dinghy control available in many colors, we avoid problems with tamps of the same color and can have a specific color for each tuning function.
