Today we competed in the first race of the year – classic Lidingö Runt. We came in 6th place out of 175 registered boats. In our class, we're 4th.

The competition started well for us with a nice start where we came out in the lead of our starting group, then we cruised around Lidingö in quite light wind but wind was after all all the time. The outside over Askrikefjärden we then continued for spinnaker and we sailed relatively well and had quite a big lead in our class. If the wind had stood all the way in the finish, it would probably have been a really good result for us.

But unfortunately, the wind died completely a bit from goal and we were in stiltje and in almost stiltje certainly a few hours and when the wind then arrived, several boats in the class behind us basically had caught up and they come before us. After all, at least we managed to finish only this year's class and got the shot.

We'll reload and tomorrow there will be the Viggan Open with four course races!
