ANOTHER GOOD DAY AT THE WORLD CUP FOR TEAM ARKEN ZOO!

Then the boat is well moored after today's sea race that corresponds to the distance between Eskilstuna and Stockholm = 40 Nm.

The day started with about 4 m/s in wind strrka and it was 8 degrees warm in the air at 09.00 and a whopping 11 degrees warm in the water (yes, we talk on August 8!).

We again timed a very good start completely free near the leeflag and pulled away at good speed. Around the cross mark we were third and quickly put spinnaker for a 10 Nm long spinnaker gait. We had good speed in the boat and rounded the big lighthouse as four. Then began 3 hour cross and in the beginning we went great in relatively light wind. We sailed up the Italians and sailed away from both Sugar and the Empire. Good speed and good track of both wind and competitors. We had surveillance on our entire field – except at Lenco who took a huge edge on the left side – they were at the far left in the entire field and still knocked out to the left three more times. The weather reports talked about right-wing twist – but they had another report – that came in! This meant that they were by far only after the crosses – we were nott on the heels of the Italians in third place – a good cross. Then it was a long county and there Sugar walked by in the lee, but we sailed well towards the other boats.

In the finish, there were four of us and we were also at the estimated time. Since this was the seventh sailing of the World Cup, you now have to count out their worst position – this means that despite another good place we went down from 1st place to tied third place with the Italians.

Tomorrow ,Saturday, it's one or two sailings – we have a chance to win the entire World Cup and we will do our utmost to succeed in that.

We lead the World Amateur Championships – the three other boats that are number one, second and tied third with us are professional crews and this means that we lead the World Cup in the amateur class – it is called in sailing for corinthian division – and it is a coveted title with our own trophy.

We hope that there will be two sailings tomorrow with light winds – then there can be big reversals in the results list – we would like to up again in the overall list!
