Amateur crew Team Pro4u at the top of the ORC World Cup – Day 5

Another successful day on the racetrack

Today there have been two bank app sailings during the ORC World Championships in Kiel. The top battle is thrilling and exciting. The score difference between 2-4 place is no more than 4 points.

ORC World 02. - 09.08.2014 - Kiel-Schilksee

As expected, the start was postponed until 13:30 when a steady north-westerly wind of 7-12 knots filled in.

The first race resulted in a second place with only a one second margin to third place that went to the Swedish Salona 37 boat Vencom. The italian boat Low noice, which has a somewhat confident lead from the previous qualifying round with only 8 points in 5 sailings, was the winner of the first Gold fleet race.

The second sailing today was sailed in parade weather for sailing with the best possible wind ratio that stood the whole afternoon. Even in this sailing it also went well for Pro4u with a second place that strengthens the opportunity to finish second overall in the World Cup.

Tomorrow's the day! Cross your fingers!
