Last course sailing

The last sailing was sailed in a fresh wind, 18 to 25 knots. The strategy for today's crucial sailing was to secure a position that minimizes the risk of losing second place to the competitors, the Swedish Salona 37 Vencom or the Danish X37 Hansen. We managed to not get any boats before us competitors which secured the silver spot in this year's ORC World Championships.

The start was dense but safe with a free track. Competitors were difficult to watch as they chose different edges of the track. With a safe cross round, we rounded the cross mark as the fifth boat. In the stone stronger wind, we are no longer the fastest boat, which was a bit different. In the finish we came in as the seventh boat. Then there was a long and nervous wait for the final calculated result.

When the final spot was ninth in place after Vemcom was published, the silver site was finally secured and it erupted a great joy surface in Team Pro4u.
