Team Pro4u has since the mast break this spring carefully examined the world market for carbon fiber masts. There are a number of different suppliers with different concepts and construction methods. Then it was possible to fix our previous rig, and we went well with it, we decided early on that if we were to change, we would choose the best.

Marstrom, http://www.marstrom.com/sv/, will build the mast in female form, entirely in "prepreg" high modular fiber, baked in Autoclave. All the details such as mast top fittings, spinnaker boom rail, boom and kick fasteners, etc. are also made of carbon fiber. To this is built a high, narrow light v-shaped boom with built-in fine trim for the big shoe. Details are designed in dialogue with Jesper Ott at Speed Made Good.
