Robline, article two out of three

Top-level racing requires well-functioning running rig, scot and trim, just as we described earlier. A large part of the functionality comes from the fact that we can use smooth scaled parts, stylish transitions and good end terminations right where they do the most good.

Thanks to our collaboration with Robline, we have had the opportunity to get help with many specifically adapted solutions to our battles. All cases are peeled to bring down wind resistance and weight. In the past, we have not dared to go down in dimension due to the risk of the tamp sliding into the loader. With Robline we were helped to make thickening completely seamlessly so that the tamp is thicker in the reliever and we have been able to go down further in dimension and further reduce wind resistance.

One example is our lift and our spinning case that is 8mm in the haländbut only just over 5 in the scaled part. The spin case has also been thickened where it goes through the loader and is then just over 11mm which means that it is guaranteed to sit. All transitions are very smooth and barely feel when they walk through slots or relievers. These two cases are located outside almost the entire mast under all headwinds and therefore it is of course crucial that they have as little air resistance as possible!

What we have appreciated above all with the scales, splits and transitions we have received from Robline is:

  • Good craftsmanship
  • Smooth transitions
  • Seamless thickenings for shippers. Important to be able to lose the maximum in case dimension
  • Very great precision where the details end up on the tamp
  • Nice finish, that little extra.

All splits, taggers and tunations are made at a very high level of craftsmanship. This has enabled us to pull all the fights directly from delivery and start using them right away. This has also been facilitated by the stylish pilot loops with which the Tampas have ended.
